We are very happy that the latest photos of the Pre-Holiday 2013 collection already came out. Finally! Fresh photos to work with for the articles of Erzullie for months! *YEY!*
Anyway, this edition of Wednesday Wear, we decided to discuss one of our favorites as (plus size) women --- the loose silhouette.
There is something very liberating, comfortable and effortlessly chic about a loose style kind of clothing. We are free to move and our body feels safe in doing so as well. There is not much constriction so there is this effortless chic style, as if you didn't even thinking about it, when you wear it too. And these are just a few reasons as to why we love 'letting it loose'.
But then again sometimes when we wear too much 'loose' clothing we get too lost in it. So for Wednesday Wear here are some fashion tips on how to find yourself or at least keep it, in wearing one.
1. One Loose Thing + One Fit Thing = One Fierce Erzulliesta
Balance is the key to any style. As such, one way to not get lost in a loose outfit is to wear one thing that does not flow. Balance a loose top with fit jeans or pencil skirts.
2. Strong Constructive Shoes
Well, as if the Erzulliestas do not have a plethora of it or if they don't, they usually buy their trusted soldiers and ride them out until retirement, either way, pairing a very loose dress with contrasting constructive pair of shoes can definitely elevate and control the whole look.
Think flowing maxi dresses with strong gladiator sandals. Think flowing maxi pants with constructive pumps. Think, flowing skirts with spiky flats.
3. Minimal Accessories
There's a lot of movement when you are wearing something loose. So to not add so much on that, wear minimal accessories. Make that one loose clothing the focus of your whole ensemble and still, you can shine through it.
And now, after the tips, here are some examples of loose clothing from the Erzullie archives! For the full pinterest board, CLICK HERE.
