PLUS SIZE FASHION: "THE ERZULLIESTA JULY 2013 (2)"
We are on the 2nd week of July, Erzulliestas!
And wow! We have literally passed the first half of the year! Life filled with fun and a little drama can pass by so quickly, yes?
Anyway, The Erzulliesta July 2013 (2) is now out to recap THIS WEEK! If you want to catch up with last week's news, here is The Erzulliesta July 2013 (1).
And now, on with some Erzullie Plus Size news!
#1 We started the week with a little straight to the point plus size mantra! "Curvy and Loving It!" is how we describe our attitude towards ourselves!
And if you are out to celebrate your curves, please drop by and shop at the Erzullie booth at the Super Sale Bazaar, Hall D, World Trade Center, Pasay City on July 12-14, 2013 (10am-9pm). Thank you in advance for all the ravishing Erzulliestas that are about to relish and buy the latest Pre-Holiday 2013 collection!
#2 Aside from Erzullie's Pre-Holiday 2013 launching at the Super Sale Bazaar, we have also opened the plus size model applications for The Next Erzullie Icon 20133 #TNEI2013. In spirit of that project, Erzullie Icon and plus size model, Audrey Lee, shares her two cents about the #TNEI2013. If you want some tips and tricks from one of the models that became an Icon last year, here is your chance to get some tidbits from a former applicant turned successful Erzullie Icon!
#3 This week, we also posted about some plus size fashion bloggers in the Philippines that you should check out. We are actually very happy about the response of the Erzulliestas on this one. Who knew you girls were looking out for something fresh and new for your blog read list?
In relation to that, some Filipina plus size fashion bloggers united for the Pinay Curvies' "All White" challenge. You girls better check this out! It's rockin'! It is also good to note that this is one of the pioneer events for the plus size fashion industry that we have seen so far and the result is amazing! So, positive shout out to our sisters in fashion/Erzulliestas, Pinay Curvies!
#4 We also explored the definition of being a confident curvy. Is it really about showing skin or style? Maybe both? What do you think?
#5 We know that we haven't really been promoting or giving you more teasers about the Pre-Holiday 2013 collection launch recently. Our bad. I just needed a little bit more fresh perspective on the matter. You girls know we like to keep it new!
But nonetheless, here is a little 'teaser' of one of the items that you will love to buy on that day!
#6 Finally, to cap the week, after a long 'silence' since Wednesday of this week, a little positive and woman wisdom passed from one Erzulliesta to another. This post "Plus Size Life: I Allow Myself To Be Happy" is dedicated for all the hardworking women who does it all/have it all, yet they feel nothing at all. Here is the solution for that mild to wild? depression.

PLUS SIZE LIFE: "I ALLOW MYSELF TO BE HAPPY"
Hello, girls!
I know that our last activity was last Wednesday and there was not even an announcement of a vacation. Well, I did go on a vacation (just a small one) and now I am back a little bit more refreshed and with a little bit more (okay maybe a whole lot more) of a better and more positive perspective about life.
And I know that this is a Monday Mantra, but I needed to share this immediately as inspiration has taken over and I need to let this flow! Hehe. So bear with me.
To be honest, I have been feeling a little bit overwhelmed lately. And sometimes, I wonder if other females feel the same. I feel sad and although nothing is wrong (yes. I repeat. NOTHING is wrong.) I feel so unhappy. This actually makes me feel guilty because I would like to believe that my life is a blessed one (aren't all?) and I feel ungrateful for thinking that all these wonderful things in my life are worth squat.
And so, ultimately, I have realized it is because I am not allowing myself to be happy. Whatever I have right now, although it is perfect, I am craving for something more not because I desire for something more (in fact, I was thinking, if I am not happy with my current state right now, then what do I want? Answer? NOTHING.) but it's because I am not allowing myself to be happy having everything that I wanted and needed in life. It's not being ungrateful. It's me stopping myself to be grateful and being happy on where I am. I am refusing to give myself the chance to relish the delicious life that I have created for myself and for the people around me.
So for all those hardworking Erzulliestas who have it all but still feels nothing at all, I hope that you learn from me. Let's allow ourselves to be happy. For once. Let's just be happy with what we have and what we do... who we are with, what we own, the experiences we have and what we will be. Let's just take a moment and say, "Hey, for a hardworking woman like me, I am great."
It's more than just recognizing your achievements. Life is also about learning how to allow ourselves to enjoy them. After all, the fruits of these blessings that we work hard for, is the point of working.
So for once. For once. Let's just allow ourselves to be happy.
HAPPY SUNDAY GIRLS!
Cheers!
Aries
