A (SUGGESTED) ERZULLIESTA'S PLUS SIZE FASHION NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION

We all have New Year's Resolutions and let's get real, although we do not attain most of them, it's fun to at least set them and be faithful with them with at least the first quarter of the year yes?

*giggles*

Anyway, here is a great set of PLUS SIZE FASHION New Year's resolution. What's yours?

1. I WILL ONLY BUY THINGS THAT ACTUALLY FIT ME

There is nothing more sad than a beautiful plus size woman buying a dress 2 sizes smaller than her to make her feel good.

It makes you feel good now but then your closet ends up as a museum of things you will never wear.

2. I WILL GET TO KNOW MY CLOSET.

We have all been there before ladies. We accumulate so much clothing in our closet we don't know anymore what is inside it. Start to organize. Let go of the old and screen DILIGENTLY the things that are new.

Get to know everything that is in your closet and make sure that they are all the things that you wear and they actually still look good.

3. I WILL ONLY DRESS UP IN ACCORDANCE TO MY PERSONAL STYLE --- NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS.

You do have the sense of an awesome personal style within. All you have to do is find it and embrace it. The new chic is the one that only you determine.

4. I WILL READ MORE FASHION BOOKS ABOUT STYLE AND FASHION.

Nothing improves someone better than a nice set of new found wisdom. Grab a book from one of the best style mavens of the world! Rachel Zoe, Nina Garcia --- Tim Gunn anyone?

5. I WILL FEEL GOOD IF THE CLOTHING DOESN'T FIT ME.

I know that this resolution can be a little daunting. How can a plus size woman not be happy when a dress that she loves in that glistening window display does not fit her?

THINK ABOUT IT. If that clothing does not fit you, that would mean more savings for your pocket. If that clothing does not fit you, it seems like you are only meant for FABULOUS COUTURE. If that clothing does not fit you, it only means that you are meant to find a sexier and more body flattering dress.

And besides, why would you feel bad about your self? The entrepreneur should feel bad because s/he just lost 1 sale that would have made a difference at that day. Also, reminder ladies, although we love fashion, we are not a slave of it. It should be our OWN SLAVE.

So feel good whenever this happens --- that ill fitting dress should not define your day, otherwise, you really need to get your priorities in order.

Here are the top 5 plus size fashion tips for you as you shop in bazaars:

1. FIT THE CLOTHES YOU ARE BUYING.

To be honest, I cannot stress this enough. You and your style are worth the energy of putting off the clothes and then trying them on. Otherwise, (and more often than not) you may be able to suffer the fate of ill fitting clothes! Ill fitting clothes mean that you won't be able to use it much. Clothes that you won't be able to use much = wasted money.

Fit the clothes that you are thinking of buying. This way you will really see, if it does look good on you. If it is, BUY IT.

2. YES, YOU CAN SAY 'NO' TO A PURCHASE.

I guess we may call it hiya or "shame" when we want something and then it doesn't fit, then we feel bad for saying 'no' to the stall owner/care taker so we buy it anyway. However, as a consumer, you can politely say "No." to any purchase that you don't think is right for you.

3. BE ECO CHIC - BRING AN ECO BAG!

Nothing says "I care about the future of our planet" with style than an eco bag! Aside from this, eco bags actually make your shopping easier as everything you shop is in just ONE BAG. No need to continuously cling on to everything.

4. MATCH THE PRICE WITH THE QUALITY.

This is the oldest of the old style rule. Match the price of the item with its quality and not just the name of it. An item is worth the price if the quality is absolutely amazing! This way, you know you don't feel cheated (style and value wise), after you go home.

5. ASK YOURSELF: DO I ALREADY HAVE THIS?

A bazaar can be fabulously confusing! Sometimes we buy things out of impulse but then always ask yourself if you already have it. Not only will this help you curb your expenses but also, now you have more space for a different item in your closet!
