The greatest affair you can ever have is with yourself! And why not? You are the most wonderful, amazing person you can ever know! So how do you do it? Check out the list:
#1 Make a compliment jar
Get a jar. Cut out small pieces of paper (size depends on you --- I like 2 inches wide and 1 inch high to be enough) and write compliments that you would throw yourself. Write as many as you can. Pick one out when you feel down.
#2 Make a permission slip jar
Follow the instructions on #1 but instead of compliments, write out small permission slips for yourself. Example: Permission to sleep. Permission to Party. Permission to meditate. Things and situations that you would actually like to do.
#3 Plan a date for yourself
I am talking about a whole day dedicated to you. It doesn’t have to be an expensive one. It can just be time spent at home in your room. Make a 1 day plan of what you want to do (Schedules or just options of things to do), tell people you will be busy, Unplug from social media and enjoy your whole day.
#4 Write a love letter to yourself
It’s not vanity. But writing to your self (present or future) can actually be an amazing memento when you feel down about anything.
#5 Write a vow dedicating yourself to you
Think of it as you, marrying you. (Easiest way I can put it) Write a vow (as truthful and sincere as you can), light a candle and say it. If you can include this affirmation daily when you wake up, all the better.
