I was thinking about you, my dear
Erzulliestas. (Well duh, of course I am!) And I got inspired into thinking what could you ladies be doing that makes you who you are (fierce
plus size women)? Here are some thoughts:
#1 Saying "no" to an invitation that you really are NOT interested in.
Let's face it. There are some invites that you really want to go to and there are some that you just don't want to go to. It is empowering to say "no" to something that we just don't want to let in.
It's not being a kill joy or what. You just know that you have other values to impose to at that time. And that my dear,
Erzulliesta is something that I know you would do.
#2 Not enabling an "emotional vampire" into your life.
Just like saying "no" to an event that you don't want to go, I do know that you ladies have mastered the art of not enabling that one person who keeps on acting like a victim, taking your energy, only to ask for more like nothing happened the next day.
Oh. My. Goodness.
I am pretty sure all of you can relate to that.
And another thing that you can relate to? Not enabling them by not replying to them or letting them pass your bubble. I love it. That shows strength. You know how to defend your boundaries and I am living it.
#3 Making time for the self.
I don't care what you do with it. But I do know that you ladies carve time to recharge. You
Erzulliestas work like a beast, but knows that your energy need to recharge every now and then.
Whether it's an invigorating party or a quiet time at home, I know you ladies prioritize some time to center yourselves and feel great about who you are.
#4 Support other women.
One thing that I do know about you ladies. The success of one woman is the success of another. That is why supporting each other is like breathing to you. And you know the value of keeping powerful women around... it also inspires you to be the same!
#5 Celebrate your own success.
I know that to some people, doing this seems like it would become a bragging thing, but
Erzulliestas have definitely mastered the art of celebrating success that inspires people --- not making them feel bitter about their lives.
