PLUS SIZE POWER: HOW TO MAKE THIS YEAR FIERCER THAN BEFORE

It’s a new year, my dear Erzulliesta! And before we go down and scramble to get our coins and fierce curves on, I was wondering of what are the small things that we need to do in order to make this year fiercer than before. Life in general, of course.

HERE ARE THREE WAYS:

#1 Set goals that are believable to you.

I don’t mind hearing Erzulliestas that they are going to get that bag and earn a million of whatever currency they choose. I know they are going to get it. Why? Because they said so, that’s why.

And what is one thing that I do know about this empowered woman? She will do whatever it takes to make it happen. Make it or break it. As long as she wants it, it does not matter if she fails or not. She’s going to do it.

But of course, not all Erzulliestas are into that kind of thing. Some Erzulliestas just want a promotion. Some Erzulliestas want to replenish their wardrobes, while some just want to get rid of those old toxic people in their lives.

Whatever goal you have set for yourself this year, Erzulliesta --- just make sure that it is believable for you.

Because you know it’s true. If you believe that you can, you will.

#2 Remind yourself constantly of your goals.

Put it on your phone. Put it on a post it and place it where you will see it. Make a poster. Draw it on your journal. Whatever it is that speaks to you.

You need to write these goals down in a place and manner that speaks to you and you can constantly be reminded of. You will thank me later.

#3 If you can do it now, DO IT NOW!

There is really nothing like the present. And although some goals may take time (seriously… if your goal is to have a baby  --- pretty sure you want the 9 months), for any sort of goal that you know you can already do --- DO IT NOW or forever hold your fierce?

Why? Because the energy is still fresh. Your optimism is still high and it’s just much more inspirational this way.

So go on, Erzulliesta. Keep it fierce!

PLUS SIZE POWER: WHY SINGLE WOMEN ARE USUALLY WORKING WOMEN

The great artist Henri Matisse once said, “I love you mademoiselle, but I will always love painting more.”

I bet a lot of single women have subconsciously practiced that belief already. These women have been on their own for so long, work has become their first love.

Why? You ask.

Work rarely leaves. In fact, you tend to leave work more than the other way around. Work gives you money and if you are in the relationship long enough, you will get benefits. Work will take care of you and insure you in many ways throughout life.

Work also allows you to grow as a woman. He challenges you in ways that you can’t imagine. Push you to greatness and can even break you to pieces.

Work is great to take with you during family reunions. Work will never embarrass you and when you are with work, people are actually happy that you have one.

All of which sounds like the perfect healthy relationship --- which is the main reason why single women are usually working women.

So that is why, I also find that single working women are always having a hard time finding a relationship. It’s not that they don’t want to. It’s just that they are perfectly happy and fulfilled with their current set-up that it will definitely take a “magnanimous force” to break that connection or at least a conscious choice of the woman to do so.

Because they are already in a happy, healthy and fulfilling relationship --- why need one more?

PLUS SIZE DESIGNER: BERNA CUEVAS 2018 UPDATE!

For our long time lovers, you know that we used to only produce 4 collections --- resort, corporate, pre-holiday and holiday. Last year we introduced 2 new collections --- our signature Cuevas and De Guzman. We are honestly very thankful that you ladies are absolutely in love about it because the feeling is the same!

So recently, and before the year ended, Berna just showed me the pieces of her new signature collection. And my-oh-my the passion for fierce plus size fashion just burns deep in this one. We posted a few OOTD’s about it and the reaction to it was unexpected!

Some Erzulliestas actually wanted to buy it right there and then! We are very humbled by this development. Unfortunately, Erzulliestas will have to wait. We will be announcing the release soon!

PLUS SIZE DESIGNER: HELLO, ERZULLIESTAS! IT IS 2018!

I know that we have already announced that we are back online to serve you, ladies some awesome fierceness. But I can’t help it if I want to share an extra note or two.

Truth be told, I had a peaceful and very deep holiday. I love that I was able to take time and listen to myself to set goals for this year.

After that, it is back to work.

I am not going to lie. Every year, I always constantly reflect if I am going to move forward with Erzullie or go on a hiatus. Rest is always important and you know that we always just want to maintain the authenticity of the brand.

And just when I thought that I should be having a hiatus, an Erzulliesta came rushing in this morning, reminding me of my place in the world.

My place in the world is with you, Erzulliestas. Also reminding you CONSTANTLY of how awesomesauce you are. All day, every day.

So keep the fierce ladies and buckle up! It’s going to be one sexy and curvy ride.
