PLUS SIZE FASHION: 5 BAD SHOPPING HABITS YOU MAY NOT BE AWARE OF
Shopping is a sport as they say and if you don’t want to end up as a loser in the end of style, then better make sure you avoid these 5 bad shopping habits --- and you may not even be aware of it!
#1 Shopping with no idea
There are times that we just want to go to the mall and just “look around” for entertainment. Then we see that one thing on the window display. Our minds start to wander on when, where and how we are going to use it. Then, BAM! You bought it and 1 year later, you still haven’t used it.
Where does it end up? At the back of your closet or whatever part of the room that you have where it will never see the light of day again --- until the next plus size garage sale.
Money wasted and unnecessary closet space eater.
#2 Shopping with no price limit
In the age of credit cards and banks giving you a bigger limit without notice, you would think that you can really just HAVE IT ALL.
Well, ladies --- time to wise up! Credit card now means pay later and if you can’t pay the bill in full, then it will definitely just keep on piling up.
It’s not financial weakness when you know that you have a price limit. Truth be told, if you don’t buy one thing, it doesn’t mean that it’s your loss. In fact, it’s the store’s. So always remember that YOU have the power here, dear buyer. If you can’t buy it, then chuck it!
#3 Buying without fitting
Yes. Sometimes, you are just “too tired” to try it on. But if you are really shopping for it, it means that you need to use it. If you are going to use it, might as well see if it’s actually going to work. Try it on. It will look different on you than on the hanger.
And besides, when you try it on, you get to see the feel of the fabric and silhouette. You don’t want to make a second trip back once you see that it’s too small or too something. You just wasted more time driving back and forth, when you could have saved all that time by just trying it on.
#4 Buying without checking
You worked hard for that money so you have every right to check the quality of it. Seams should be kept in line. Zippers should go back and forth easily. Buttons should not be loose. Fabric should not have runs on it (not unless that is the style)
Check their returns policy too! That’s part of your right as a buyer as well. Usually it’s 7 days (even 30 if you are lucky).
#5 Buying outside your lifestyle
You walked around a bazaar and you saw this really cute brooch. You bought it thinking that you will be able to wear it someday, but truth of the matter is you are really more of a ring person.
What do you end up with? A brooch that will never be used and money that should have been reserved for finding your next best “ring”.
Life and style is always married with each other. Hence the word “lifestyle” was born. If you are going to shop for something, make sure that it actually fits your lifestyle. Otherwise, you will just end up with a trinket that you will never use and again --- money wasted.

PLUS SIZE DATING: THE MESS THAT IS ONLINE DATING
Online dating --- is it really the next best thing in relationship or just another way to get hurt?
There are so many dating apps out there right now. In fact, it seems like any form of social media up can become a dating app already. You meet people. You say hi. You guys click and then all of a sudden, it’s relationship unknown.
Hearts can get healed up. Hearts can get broken. Things can either go clear or vague. Online dating is such a mess sometimes. I feel as if it made relationships even more complicated than it already was before.
And with the acceptance of many forms of relationships --- monogamy is starting to become a distant memory of the past. The concept of “free love” and “sharing love” --- the “let’s see where this goes”. Sometimes, I wonder if we are all just afraid to gamble with our hearts because we have seen the effects of it on people who did and lost greatly.
We don’t want to be that person anymore. So we start to strategize. We start to either hide behind our profiles or slowly open up to people who will take interest. It’s really a mix of two opposing factors when it comes to relationships. In social media, you want to open yourself up to love, but you have to be so god damn careful on what you show, what you do and what you say.
Scammers are abound and even worse --- people who are just playing around. And in that moment that you are really just a great woman looking for a man who would expand her universe, you wonder --- why did I end up in this mess?
And even if you did find the love of your life online --- why do they have to be so far? And there are people, who do succeed in bridging that gap and finding their happy ending. What of the ones who are trapped geographically? Is the online life that they have for each other the only reality they will ever know?
I have so many questions about online dating sometimes. I have seen some of my women go through it only to end up being scared at the last minute and these men acting as if my women owe them something.
To those guys, f*ck you. You are the one who said hi. You are the one who approached. You are the one who tried to go here and when you see the vulnerability of my women you immediately flip 180 and act as if “it was an honor to see you”.
Let me tell you one thing, ass wipe. No. It’s an honor to meet my friend. Because egotistic guys like you? So common. But an independent woman who has everything already and don’t really need you but the pure love that you may bring? Ha. F*cking rare.
But, as an optimist, I just really have to say one thing --- maybe there is also an independent guy out there who also has everything and don’t’ really need my women but the pure love that they bring. And maybe, just maybe… the Social Media gods would be kind enough to finally make them meet this way.
So here is to hoping that beyond all this mess that is online dating, there is a ray of hope. And I just hope that all of you lovers out there just keep on finding for that fairy tale ending that all of you definitely deserve.
