#1 Be bold and try something new.
May it be that hair color you have wanted (mermaid or the classy silver) down to that silhouette of the dress that everyone told you since you were a kid that you will NEVER pull off, it's time to be brave and embrace the new.
Start by getting photos of the things you would like to be done on you or looks that you want to do to yourself. Plot your strategy and make this a priority.
#2 Only give a f*ck on what you think and feel
Of course, Erzulliestas already know the drill. They have a mind of their own and the absolute queen of their hearts. But just in case you need further reminders, then here it is. Make your 2017 fiercer by listening to what you think and feel. If people have a problem about it, that is their problem not yours.
#3 Try a trend that will pop up this year
Erzulliestas are never really a followers of trends. They know their true style really well to fall for those petty pop-up things. But then again trends happen and catch on for a reason. Maybe this year one of them will pique your interest?
So this year, try a trend and see if it works. You will never know. This may be your new thing.
#4 Shop in cash and resist the siren call of the credit
This is a challenge. Although I know you ladies are smart with your finances, if you are looking for a new challenge, why not stick to cash this year for shopping? Not only will this make you more aware (instantly) on where you stand but the curation of your closet will be better. It will reflect what is really important to your style.
#5 Find a great tailor
Ready-To-Wear is not really ready to wear. When you buy something in the store chances are it's going to only be up to 90% perfect. So for those moments that you really need it to be "fitted" to your body, find a great tailor nearby and befriend her. Never underestimate the power of looking sharp.
